Kenta Masuda was born in japan 1990.

He studied at osaka kyoiku university and got master's degree.

He has awarded some prizes, including the prize in TIAA Composers Competition in 2012, a honorable mention in Tokyo Katsushika Competition 2013, the "Ryosuke Hatanaka prize" in the 20th Sougakudou Japanese Song Competition 2013, Junior 3rd Prize in the 4th International Antonín Dvořák Composition Competition in Czech Republic 2013, prize in 2014 PARMA student composer competition in the US and the 1st Prize, Hirosaki Mayor's Prize and Hifumi Shimoyama Prize in the 15th anniversary Hirosaki Sakuranosono Composition Competition and special prize in the 2nd Ise-Shima International Composition Competition. He has selected for the 32nd JSCM Award for Composers and he won Togashi Prize in the 33rd JSCM Award for Composers.

He held his own composition recital by self produce in japan 2014. 

He studied at contemporary Music Seminar & Festival "AKIYOSHIDAI'S SUMMER 2014-2017", "Takefu International Music Festival 2015"(Japan) and "impuls academy 2017"(Austria).

His composition was performed at "XXXVI Foro Internacional de Música Nueva 'Manuel Enríquez'" in Mexico City 2014, "MISE-EN MUSIC FESTIVAL 2015" in New York City 2015,

"soundSCAPE new music italian alps 11th season" in Maccagno, Italy 2015, "Composers Now 2016 Festival" in New York City 2016 and "impuls festival 2017" in Graz Austria 2017.

Lecture recital focused to his piece was held as "Conference II" on the 2016 Asian Composers League-Korea International Conference & Festival in South Korea. In the conference, he lectured and planned with Bettina Berger, flutist, and his composition was performed by her (world premiere).

He studied in the program by Klaus Lang at impuls academy 2017.

He studied composition with Ichiro Mononobe, Fumio Kitagawa and Toshiro Saruya.

He also studied harpsichord with Hiroyuki Kawai.

He is a member of Contemporary Music Group "HibikiZensen" and Japan Society for Contemporary Music(JSCM).

He has also released albums as an experimental improviser with several instruments.
